Please bear with me while I try and update this. I know it has been awhile since I have posted anything. The first part of March I had to stop working and things seem to be going down ever since then. My feet have gotten really really bad, it hurts to even stand up or even put any pressure on them anymore. The polyneuropathy in them has gotten worse and the medication the doctor had given me to take I had to increase due to the pain but when that happened it counteracted against my seizure medicine and I had to decrease it. I am so thankful that I haven't been having any problems with the seizures lately. I try and do things around the house but it isn't very successful on a daily basis. When I quit working the polyneuropahty was all the way up to my knees but since then it has gone back down to just my ankles and feet, but is it ever painful. Say some prayers for me.
I told Richard that since I have been doing B.L.A.S.T. at church my feet have been getting worse and I told him that it is nothing but the devil trying to get me to stop but that is not going to happen. Those boys are so special and are such a blessing to be with each week. We had been working on the Armor of God and I had them lay on a piece of paper and drew them on it. We would work on a different piece of armor each week and when finished they have a soldier of themself wearing the Armor of God . It is really a blessing to be with them on Sunday. Keep praying that we can find someone to help us, we really need someone.
Ever want something to do for children that isn't messy? Take a bottle of water and put one of the individual packets of kool-aid in it, put the lid back on it and let them shake it up. One week I had found a box of the individual kool-aid (but this one was lemonaide) that Missy would take to school with her, and decided that since she doesn't want them anymore. I decided to use them for the boys. When the boys got into B.L.A.S.T. I had a bottle of water and a packet of kool-aid sitting out for each one of them. I would put the kool-aid into the water and put the lid back on it and let the boys have it. They got to shake the bottle up and make the water turn into kool-aid and one of the boys told me that they got to make kool-aid like God made the earth (we had been working on Noah's Ark). Ever since they ask if they can have their water/kool-aid ever Sunday.
Missy is a senior this year and has started this year out in a bang. She called me the Monday and told me that she was elected President of FCCLA Club. I was doing my usual daily thing yesterday when I got a call from the school and one of her teachers was calling to tell me thank you for letting Missy take her class and she is really excited about having her in her class. It is so hard to believe that she is a Senior this year. Her and her daddy (Dawg) really have gotten close and are always picking on each other. Want a funny laugh, Richard was in the bedroom and Missy took him some popcorn in "Dawg's bowl". Those two are always picking on each other, they get to be really funny some of the things they do.
Please, keep us in your prayers.

Hard to believe that today is February 28th, yesterday Ricky was 23 years old. Doesn't seem like that long when the doctor told Richard and I that he wanted to induce labor. I will never forget that day (February 27th). Richard and I were in one of the labor rooms with a wall between us and the lady in the next room. Sounded like she was having a really hard time. One time she started screaming and I looked over at Richard and he asked me "Are you sure you want to do this?" (Kinda late to decide not to have a baby). Everything went really good and we had a beautiful little boy who is now 23 years old and has a little boy of his own. Richard and I are really proud of him and will never forget the lady on the other side of the wall yelling and screaming. He has been such a blessing and are so thankful for being able to enjoy the past 23 years watching him grow up.

Ricky and Missy are both such a blessing and are growing up so fast. Missy is a junior in high school - that is really hard to believe. Richard and I were talking the other day and kinda got a laugh, we were talking about when Missy gets a boyfriend, that poor guy is going to be on the front line. Ricky and Honey are both really protective of Missy. We get a laugh every day. Honey is really protective with her. She doesn't like anyone to bother Missy. Going to be interesting to see what happens.

It is really early this morning,. Things haven't been so good the past couple of weeks. Between the dust storm that blew through a week ago Thursday setting off asthma/bronchitis, severe headaches, catching the bug that my co-workers had (one was out 2 1/2 days sick, another 1 whole day with the stuff that has been going around and another out with the stomach virus ), my Dilantin level getting off and making me really weak. It has been hard just to stand up, I was either in the bed or on the couch and not getting up unless I had to unless Richard or Missy were here (just to be safe I stayed down or if I did get up I would hold on to something).

Anyone that reads this please keep me in your prayers. I need all the prayers I can get to get my strength back and things getting back to normal.

Thank you Richard and Missy for all the love and help you have given me.

Today is Monday, January 28th, it has been awhile since I have posted anything. I have been really busy in more than one way. The holidays are over and things are beginning to slow down some.

Ever feel like nothing ever goes right? Well, it has been that way lately but Sunday during BLAST was so encouraging. Josh, was the only one there and the two of us worked on our Ten Commandment booklet. We pasted the words, stone on the outside and then on the inside we had a picture for each commandment. (Thank you Missy for finding all the pictures and printing everything out for us. They are really good). We looked and talked about each of the commandment and the picture, we didn't get to finish it yet. And then I showed him the picture that went with the commandment and he could tell me the commandment and what it mean't. That there was such an encouragment. I am so thankful that I am able to work with them.

Missy has really been a blessing. Richard and I came home from work the other day and walked in the door and let me tell you what. Soon as we opened the door to go inside, we got a HUGE surprise. Missy had dinner all cooked and ready to eat. She even had the table all set and ready to sit down and eat. Richard gave her a hard time about a candle lit on the table. That wasn't the first time she has done that lately, it has been so nice coming home from work and having supper sitting on the table ready to eat. You are such a blessing and we both love you very much.

Yesterday, Sunday, Kelan's mother, Andi, stayed in B.L.A.S.T. to help out. We talked about Christmas and the meaning of it. I had some yellow card stock at home that I made a circle and blue-green card stock to use for the ribbons. We were sitting at the table making a name tag with their name in the center of the circle, B.L.A.S.T. on one ribbon and SAN ANGELO FIRST ASSEMBLY OF GOD on the other ribbon. Andi wrote everything on each of the ribbons and while she was doing that we were talking about Christmas and what it was about. There was some extra ribbon so we made a chain. We would ask them a question and if they got the answer right (What is Christmas about - Jesus birthday) we would add to the chain. While Andi was finishing writing everything on the name tags Kelan, Josh and I were playing our game with the ball, (we bounce it to each other and tell them "Jesus, loves _______________" as we bounce it back and forth to each other. We talk about who gave us the balls, whose house this is, church. They both tell you that God gave us the balls, and that this is God's house. It is so wonderful and rewarding in so many ways being with them on Sunday.
I thank you God for blessing me with the opportunity to work with them. They are your Special Angels sent from above, and I get a blessing being with them every week. Just seeing the excitement and look on their face when we finish working on something, and how hard they work is such a blessing in more than one way.

WOW, Jr. just walked up and handed me a check for $200.00 and told me Merry Christmas. That was totally unexpected.

3 Weeks and counting

Well, it was 3 weeks Saturday since the accident. I am so ready to get my shoe back on and do things with Missy and Richard. I really do miss the time we spend together, even though it may be working most of the time. She has been asking me to go to Wal Mart with her but we haven't gone yet.
I did make it to church Sunday. Little Josh is such a sweetheart. He was so concerned about me and wanted to know what happened. He told me that he had been praying for me while I was out.
I got to put my shoe on this morning just long enough to go from the garage to the car and from the car to the front door of my office (you touch the front of Missy's car standing at the garage door if that gives you an idea of how long it was on) and then it came off fast.
Missy and I went to get her letter jacket fixed, again, yesterday and it will be at lease 2 to 3 weeks before it is ready. Hope they will have it done before Christmas since it was going to be her gift from us to her.
Well, guess I better get back to work.

This has been a really long week and am I glad it is Friday. Ever feel like you are nothing but a problem. Right now that is how I feel. I'm sitting here at work right now trying to file folders, and the morning usual and not bump my foot. It is really hard. I am so thankful for my job and the people that I work with. Everyone here has been such a big help. They all are so helpful. I feel like I haven't done anything but be a burden to everyone.
Missy and Richard are so wonderful. I don't know what I could do without them. By the time I get off of work I am really exhausted and in pain, it is hard to walk some days my whole foot is hurting so bad. The two of them try so hard to keep me off my foot, it is really hard to keep from going straight to bed when I get home off of work with my foot propped up. But I try to keep going.
Thank you Missy and Richard for everything you do.
