I thank you God for blessing me with the opportunity to work with them. They are your Special Angels sent from above, and I get a blessing being with them every week. Just seeing the excitement and look on their face when we finish working on something, and how hard they work is such a blessing in more than one way.
WOW, Jr. just walked up and handed me a check for $200.00 and told me Merry Christmas. That was totally unexpected.

3 Weeks and counting
I did make it to church Sunday. Little Josh is such a sweetheart. He was so concerned about me and wanted to know what happened. He told me that he had been praying for me while I was out.
I got to put my shoe on this morning just long enough to go from the garage to the car and from the car to the front door of my office (you touch the front of Missy's car standing at the garage door if that gives you an idea of how long it was on) and then it came off fast.
Missy and I went to get her letter jacket fixed, again, yesterday and it will be at lease 2 to 3 weeks before it is ready. Hope they will have it done before Christmas since it was going to be her gift from us to her.
Well, guess I better get back to work.

Missy and Richard are so wonderful. I don't know what I could do without them. By the time I get off of work I am really exhausted and in pain, it is hard to walk some days my whole foot is hurting so bad. The two of them try so hard to keep me off my foot, it is really hard to keep from going straight to bed when I get home off of work with my foot propped up. But I try to keep going.
Thank you Missy and Richard for everything you do.

Work has really been a chore. It is really hard to sit with your foot on a stool with a heating pad under one part of your desk and work at another area of your desk but I am doing it along with other things. Sr, Jr and Robin are keep telling me to go sit down and stay off my foot. They don't even want me to stand up, but that doesn't happen.
Well, guess I better go and get to work (seems like I'm slow as a turtle, but I keep going).

A VERY SPECIAL DAUGHTER
It doesn't seem like she should be 17 tomorrow (Friday, November 30) but she will. I remember the day she was born, she was so beautiful and is such a blessing. I enjoy watching and hearing her and her daddy, they are always picking on each other. If you ever hear her talk about "Dawg" that is her daddy. I am so thankful for having her as a daughter. She is a daughter that every mother dreams of having. Thank you God for blessing me and Richard with such a wonderful daughter.
Love you lots and thank you for all your help.

We are now working on a little booklet with the 10 commandments. This is the first time I have ever done something like this, I got the idea from one of the projects she did at school. When you open it up there will be a commandment on one side and a picture of that commandment on the next page (so when you open it up you will see the commandment and a picture that relates to that commandment (ie. Honor Your Father and Mother - put that on one side and put a picture of father and mother on the other side (i would like to make a heart and have the picture of father and mother inside it).
Yesterday, was really interesting but rewarding at the same time. We were working on our little 10 commandment booklet. It was very hard to keep their attention on doing it. Kelan wanted to play with a car he brought and Josh kept wanted to look at a book. We were talking about what made God have a happy face or a sad face. Out of no where this thought popped inside my head. I made a sad :( face and a :) on the board and put their initial J or K under one. When they saw their initial under :( it made a big change vs when their initial was under :). Just seeing their initial under
:( made a major difference. Kelan got so excited when he saw his initial go from under the :( to the :). It is such a blessing being with them and seeing how hard they try to do whatever is asked of them.
When it was time to go home Josh and I went into the room with the other kids. He was talking to the lady that was filling in for Neill and Melissa and was telling her what we did and wanted to show her his booklet he started and the Noah's Ark mural. We went back to "our room" and got them and he showed them to her and was telling her how much fun it is in B.L.A.S.T.. With a little help he told her what B.L.A.S.T. stands for told her that we have alot of fun in there. Just hearing him say that was really encouraging and makes me want to do more with them. If you ever want to come visit us one Sunday you are welcome to.
Well, guess I better get to work.

It's Friday and Richard is home
I woke Missy up to get ready for school this morning and the first thing that she said was Bubba and DJ will be here today. That is about all she has talked about this week.
Well, guess I better get to work and try to get some things done before it is time for Richard to come and get me for lunch.

I have been so blessed with such a wonderful husband and children. I often catch myself thinking about what my daddy would think of them if he was alive today. He got killed on a job related accident when I was 10 months old. I can remember hearing my mother and grandmother talking about when I was 6 months old and had a really bad seizure and the doctors stayed by my side working with me from 6pm to 6am without leaving and finally told them that was all they could do. My grandmother had people praying for me all over (she had contacted her church and they started a prayer chain.) and here I am today blessed with such a wonderful family. When my father and grandfather got word of what happened they both left work and drove straight to the hospital (they were working out of town). By listening to mother and gramdma talk daddy was really a wonderful person. Mother showed me a picture she had of a crow sitting on a post and smoking a cigarette, does that seem real? but it is. She has talked about all the different things daddy would do and that he would always put his family before anything he wanted to do. I catch myself wishing that he was alive today so that he could meet Richard and my little family and of course my 1st grandson. I know that he would be really happy. I remember when we (my brothers and myself) were growing up mother would take us outside at night and show us a star and tell us "that is your daddy looking down at you". Growing up I would go outside and look up at the sky and there daddy was looking down on me. Even today, I do the same thing. I remember showing Ricky and Missy the star and tellling them the story about it.
Daddy if you were only alive today you would be so happy to see what a wonderful family I have been blessed with. I know that you are always looking down on us and know what a wonderful family I have. My mother tells me that Richard has me spoiled rotten and I am the first to admit I am. We have a little joke between the three of us (Richard, mother and myself) that whatever Lisa wants Lisa gets. When we first got married, Richard and I, he would send me a plant every month on the 30th (we got married August 30, 1980). At one time I had over 50 house plants in the little house we were living in. I can remember this one plant I saw at Shirleys Florist and fell in love with it. It was an elephant ear ivy and was over 6 feet tall. He told me one afternoon that I needed to come home from work and get home as soon as possible. I asked him why and he told me that someone was coming over (never said who) and when I opened the door what did I see. Yes, it was the ivy I saw and told him about. It was doing really good until we moved into the house we had built. Seems like no plants like to live in this house. Probably because it doesn't have alot of windows to let the sun in.
Well, guess I better go and try to get some rest. Richard I can't wait till you get home Thursday night so that I can sleep all night.
Saturday, November 10, 2007
Missy sure seems to be excited about her "bubba" coming down. That is about all she talks about is her "bubba". We went on our usual Friday night store trip and all she wanted to do was look at toys and clothes for DJ. and talk about what she wants to buy him and where she wants to take him. I think that Ricky is ready to come home to see her. He called last night and talked to all three of us for I don't know how long.
Well, guess I better get back to work so I can go home.
Tuesday, November 6, 2007
Well it is getting close to Ricky and his little family to come. Next Friday they are suppose to be here. Richard is going to be gone to school Monday thru Thursday and will be back sometime Thursday night. We, Missy and I, are giving him a hard time about him being gone all week and leaving us to get everything ready for them to come but it will get done. We are really excited about them coming down. Missy is counting the days and has all kind of plans for her and DJ.
Well, guess I better get to work and try to get caught up. I have so much work I need to do from being out a whole week.

There was this one lady that loves Jewell so much. She saw us coming and started pushing her wheelchair to the door to let us in as fast as she could. She was so excited. That really makes it worth going. I can remember before we (Missy and I) started going to S.P.C.A. Missy would not go inside a nursing home. She was scared to death of it and anything related to it. But now she can't wait to get there with her Honey and Jewell. I can remember the first time we went there was this little man sitting on the couch. The nurses told us that he just sits there and doesn't talk or do anything but sit there. Missy brought Honey in and she jumped on the couch beside him and laid her head on his leg. A minute later his hand started moving over toward Honey. He started petting her and then here comes a big smile on his face along with his eyes. He didn't want Honey to leave. We went to this one room and Honey jumped up on the bed beside this lady and stayed there (like it was her bed and she was not going to get down). The lady got so excited. Her face was full of happiness. Just spending an hour taking Honey and Jewell to the nursing homes really is a reward. They really think it is neat when we dress them up. One time Honey was jumped up in one of Missy's Easter dress she had when she was little and Jewell had her wedding dress on. That day there were so many smiles and excitement coming from the people there. It is really rewarding taking them there and if anyone is interested in going with us you are welcome.
Missy is such a rewarding daughter. She is over babysitting right now. A little girl and one of the boys in my Bible Learning and Studying Together (it is for "special needs children" at church ). We were doing a Noah's Ark project, and made a mural of it. One Sunday we were going across to the main church to watch a movie with the IMPACT kids. Before we went there I read the story of Noah's Ark and we found the animals on the mural (had it laying on the floor) and then played a game. After talking about Noah and him following God they got into a line and stood real still with their hands to their side and walked in line around a table. It was really hard for them to do but they did it. I was telling them that they did a really good job and we were all very proud of them. Before we went over to the main building they lined up in front of the door and walked over there in a line with their hands to their side and when we went back to "our room", we were sitting in the floor and I was telling them that they did a very good job and then one of the boys asked "Did we make God happy?" I told him that God was really happy and proud of them doing such a good job. It is so rewarding to be with them I don't miss playing my Flute in service at all. They work so hard to do what you ask them to do. It may not seem hard but to them it is a challenge.
Well, guess I better go and get things ready for the morning.
Wierd Things About Me
- When I was growing up I can remember my mother preparing liver with creamed potatoes and I enjoyed that so much. Today, well it is a whole different story I very rarely get it.(Richard can't handle the smell of it when it is cooking, Missy on the other hand just doesn't like it).
- Some people think I'm wierd because I am willing to go in and clean/repair houses that are really really bad. (one house was so bad we had to open all the windows before and during being there.
- Missy and I have what we call "movie night" on Friday nights (sometimes other nights also) where we stay up all night and watch movies until we fall asleep on the couch. You should try that it is alot of fun.
- During the winter I fix what is called "Musical Oranges". First time I did that Missy didn't know what they were and how to eat them. All to make it is an orange and a soft pepermint stick (the only time you can find them is this time of year). You take the orange and make it really soft without breaking the peeling. Then take the pepermint stick and insert it through the top or bottom of the orange and then suck on the peppermint stick and guess what that is the musical orange.
- I enjoy dressing Jewell up and taking her to nursing homes all dressed up. We, Missy and I, dressed up Jewell in a wedding dress and Honey in an Easter dress she had gotten when she was little one Saturday and took them to one of the nursing homes and when we were going there we sure got some looks as we were driving down the road. Missy and I are members of the SPCA program (Society of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals).
- If I want something different to wear I can wear Missy's clothes. I have been told that is not the way it is. You daughter goes to your closet not you going to her closet.
- What we call "family time" isn't like other families, we do things like working on things around our home or work on other houses. That is "family time" to us instead of going out and spending $.

Missy has been so wonderful, anything I needed or needed done she was always right there. She is such a blessing to have as a daughter.
She shared some exciting news that she had gotten from her Bubba. They (Ricky, April and little DJ) will be here the week before Thanksgiving for about 3 days. Let me tell you what that is about all Missy talks about is seeing her Bubba. (Sure is funny before he graduated from high school and got married they didn't get along very well. Since then I have never heard them in an argument.). She is really excited about them coming down.
I have been blessed with the most wonderful husband, Richard. He has been right there by me the past two weeks. He would come home every morning and bring me a Dr. Pepper (I have to have my Dr. Pepper everyday) and picks Missy up and takes her to school, picks her up from school and brings her home in the afternoon. He does all this between working at his job and taking care of everything here at home.
I started back to work Monday and have been able to go everyday this week. After being out for a whole week, I have been a really busy week. But is sure is nice being back to work and will I ever be glad to back to the normal daily activities.
Thanks Missy and Richard for all the help you have given me the past two weeks. I love you both very much.

Busy Busy Saturday
Got up this morning and started going. Had to finish this one house we were working and then get another one done and in between that we had to go to another house and put a sign up in the yard. That made the day go by really fast and I'm ready to call it a day but still have to get some things done. Missy called and told me that Uncle Terry (my brother), Dawn and the baby are coming to San Angelo to see "mema". They are going to be coming out for dinner tonight so I need to get the house cleaned, get in the shower and get my hair done along with get dinner planned and cooked before they get here. Look forward to seeing them it has been almost a year if not longer since I have seen them. Missy is really excited about seeing them. Her and Uncle Terry are always sending messages to each other and talking about what is going on up here and also down there.
Well, guess I better get busy so I can have everything done before they get here.

We, Richard and I, still have to go check out a house and find out what is needed to fix it on our way home. We probably won't get home until after 7:00, which is about 1 1/2 to 2 hours late. I am so thankful that the company I work for let us do things that is needed and reimburse us for doing it. It sure does help.
I've been here in the office alone except for maybe 2 hours. Everyone is out in the field measuring houses (doing appraisals). It sure is nice when I am here alone. I did get one mission accomplished this morning before everyone left. Robin, the girl I work with, and I have been talking about how bad we need another file cabinet and so before they left (Sr. and Robin), we both hit him up again (haha) and he told me to order another one. But being my luck the first one they brought out was a letter size and not legal so they had to take it back. Sure was keeping my fingers crossed that they had another one (legal size) and they did!!! Now the chore begins in getting the files divided up and moved into the other filing cabinets (only have 1 for all my rental files, which is getting really full, and about 20 for files of appraisals done) and is that going to be a chore and take some time to get done. But it will be worth it when it is all done.
Well, it is time for Richard to get here so we can go and check this house out on our way home.

Today is going to be really crazy!!
Missy is such a special person (not only because she is our daughter). She works so hard and tries her best on everything she does. Richard and I had to go work on a house after we got off work yesterday and stopped the house long enough to change clothes and get the rest of the things we needed. Missy was ready to go and help and she did a really good job on everything she did.
Well, guess I better get to work. I have a basket full of things plus things coming in that needs to be done today.
Tuesday, October 16, 2007
Missy called me yesterday and said that she was going to Sears to apply for a job in the photo department. Today Richard and I got home for lunch (long enough to fix a sandwich and then go to get some things for the house we are working on now) and there was a message for Missy from Sears Photography. She just called me and told me that she has an interview at 4:30 today. Keep her in your prayers. She has found a camera that she really likes and wants really bad. She asked if she could get a job so that she could pay for it (Richard told her that he will help her). She has really grown up this past year. We are so proud of her and how hard she works not only at school but in everything she does. She got her report card and she had all a's & b's we are really proud of her for her report card. She really works hard on everything she does.
Guess I better get back to work and try to get some things finished before it is time to go home, change clothes and go work on a house. Hopefully we can get it finished tonight and then we will have only 1 house left to do which we will be going overthere to measure and evaluate Wednesday/Thursday to see what all we will need so that we can get it and go over there and fix it by Saturday.

Beginning of a new week
Sunday, October 14, 2007, was pretty much of do nothing all day long. When we got home from church Richard went to work and Missy and I stayed home and did nothing. I think we both slept almost all afternoon but it sure was nice. You would never guess where Honey and Jewell were - that's right curled up beside Missy on her bed.
The boys at B.L.A.S.T. again were such a blessing yesterday. We were talking about what God created and I had taken some of those individual kool-aid packets to church with me. I got some water bottles and they told me God made the water. I got this crazy idea when they said that. I took the kool-aid packets (one for each boy) and a bottle of water. I helped them put the kool-aid in the bottle and put the lid back on it. I told them to shake it really hard and see what happens. That was cute not only did they shake the bottle their whole body's were shaking. That was so cute. They got excited about what happen. Hopefully, I can get some pictures and share them with you soon.
An update on my visit to the doctor in Abilene last week . He had me start taking B12 drops once a day. I got up Sunday and my feet were not hurting (first time in I don't remember how long), and when I got up today I was actually able to walk without them hurting really bad. I told Richard and he agreed with me that the B12 drops seem to be working (even though they don't taste very good and keeping them under your tongue for 30 seconds is a long time, 30 seconds may not sound very long but let me tell you it is a LONG time.
Well, guess I better get to work before it gets really crazy around here.

Family Day
Right now I am here at the house alone (just me and the two dogs who are sleeping, whenever they go anywhere with Missy they both come back exhausted and sleep the rest of the day). Missy and Richard are at the church getting the stage set up for Sunday.
Ricky called and talked to his daddy (car talk) and told him that they are going to try and come home in November. Ricky always calls his daddy and the two of them talk about cars and what to do when it seems like it isn't running right.
Richard and those three (Richard, Missy and Ricky) have really gotten close. Just watching them (Richard and Missy) and all the things do is really funny. When Ricky is here let me tell you the three of them (Richard, Missy and Ricky) are really something and is it fun to see the three of them.
Well, I need to go and get things ready for B.L.A.S.T. (we are gong to start working on the 10 commandments). I look forward to Sunday and being with them. It is such a blessing being with them (I don't miss playing my flute/piccolo one bit).
Friday, October 12, 2007
You may all of heard of B.L.A.S.T. at church. I have really been blessed with the boys. They work so hard on anything that is asked of them in "our room" as Kelan calls it. I was out of town several weeks ago and I didn't make it to church that Sunday. The next Sunday I was standing in front of the nursery and heard "Miss Lisa" coming from down the hall. I looked that direction and saw Josh coming down the hall with open arms and a smile from ear to ear. I bent down and got the biggest hug and smile from him. That there made my day. We had been working on Noah's Ark and finished it a couple of weeks ago. We were talking about Noah, the animals, why God had him make the Ark and what happened. I layed the mural down on the floor and they were showing me where Noah, the ark, and animals were. After we talked about why God had Noah build the ark, we played a little game. I had the boys stand up with their hands to their side and walk around the table (one of the boys said: "walk like Noah did with God). They seemed to really enjoy it and then I told them that we were going to go watch a movie but needed to go to the "big" church to do it. They stood up in a line with their hands to their side (just like when they were walking around the table). When we were walking over there the boys stood in a line with their hands to their side being very quiet the whole way and when we were going back to "our room" they did the same thing. It was such a blessing to be with the boys and seeing them do something like that.
I got this CD from Joni and Friends and it has a song on it called "God Knew You and Me". It is a really cute song and hope to be able to get the boys where they can do the motions to it and maybe even do it for the church one Sunday. It would be so special not only for the boys but for everyone that saw it. There are some challenges to meet before that can happen but I know that if it is God's will it will happen.
Well, it is time for Richard to pick me up for lunch so guess I better go for now.
Tuesday, October 9, 2007
When we go to the doctor in Abilene it sure makes the day really long and also makes you really tierd. We got some news that is both encouraging and discouraging. When we were up there last time he had some bloodwork done and he told us the results of it. He told us that the B12 level in my body is extremely low. We talked about what can be some of the problems when it gets that low, and one of the problems is that could be what is causing me have so much trouble with me feet hurting and being numb all the time. He told us to get some B12 drops and use them and it should bring the level back up to where it should be and help with the pain and numbness in my feet. He added a fourth of tablet to the medication I am already taking for the seizures (I could have one and no one would know it). I don't have to go back until January and hopefully by then my feet will be doing alot better, he said the next step if this didn't help would be B12 shots.
Well, guess I better go and get Richard and Missy some dinner fixed.

It's Friday!!!
Richard and I are so proud of Missy and all the things she does. Between going to school, church (almost everyday after school), and the things she does at home she stays really busy. She has been really excited about going to Cathy's tonight for the slumber party and has talked about it all week.
Next week I have to go to the doctor in Abilene. Hopefully I can get help with my feet there are times I can barely walk they hurt so bad. Not to long ago Missy wanted to go to Wal-Mart just to walk around. When she got home she called me to let me know that she was home (which she calls us before she leaves, when she gets to where she is going, and when she is leaving to come home) and told me that she bought something for daddy and me. When we got home from work that day she was so excited about giving us the gift she had bought us. She had gotten Richard a new kitchen knife set and foot massager something to help me with my feet (Conair Relaxing Spa Foot Bath) and does that ever help.
Richard and I are so thankful for all she does and the respect.
Thank you Missy for all you do. We love you very much.

Yesterday, after work Missy wanted to go to WalMart and get something for "Dawg's " birthday (that is what they call each other). Being that he is the hardest person to buy something for I told her what about taking him out to eat and that took care of it. When we got to Chinese Kitchen we let them know it was his birthday. After we had sat down and began to eat one of the ladies came up to the booth and put 3 placemats (paper) and 3 cookes on the table and told him Happy Birthday. Then last night they (Missy and Richard) were watching this movie and Richard got to laughing so hard and then Missy started laughing at the movie and then at him. It was really fun watching the two of them and what they were doing to each other. It gets really funny at times watching them do things to each other.
Where the name "Dawg" came from I have no idea. When we were in Florida I had told them (joking) that they needed to call each other by their name (daddy and Missy) but guess what? That's right it was "Dawg" and did they get some funny looks by people that heard them joking with each other. These day it is hard to find families that do things with each other and have fun, let me tell you this those two are always doing something to each other and having fun doing it.
Well, guess I better get back to work.
Monday, October 1, 2007
Yesterday, Sunday, I was standing in the hall by the nursery and all of a sudden I heard "Miss Lisa" being called. I looked over that way and there was one of the little boys, I have in B.L.A.S.T., running to me. He was talking about not being there last week, and I told him I was out of town last week to. We have been working on Noah's Ark (making a mural of it) and finished it yesterday. We had it laying on the floor in "our room" and talking about Noah's Ark and why God had Noah build it. We were having fun talking about Noah (and they would all find Noah in the mural and point to him, we would talk about him and walking with God. After we talked about Noah walking with God I had them stand up and they walked around the table, in a line with their hands to their side. When I told them that we were going to go watch a movie in the other building and had them line up in front of the door, they all three walked in a line from "our room" to the other building. It may not sound like something very hard to do but it was. Being with them on Sundays and seeing how hard they work is such a blessing. I pray that God will lead more families with "special needs" children to our church and that B.L.A.S. T. will grow.
Well, guess I better get back to work and try to get things here at the office finished.
Oh, by the way Happy Early Birthday Richard (it is Wednesday).

Missy, your daddy and I, want to say that we are extremely proud of you and everything you have done. Keep up the good work and God will bless you.

Friday afternoon, Richard, Missy, a friend of hers, and myself traveled to Dallas for The Revolve Tour. That is something everygirl needs to go to. At one time I looked over at Missy and she was taking notes regarding the topic the speaker was talking about and was really getting alot out of it. She has really enjoyed it and I am so thankful that she has been able to go to it the past 2 years. The Revolve Tour (branch off of Women of Faith for girls) is nothing that a girl would think it is. It is alot of fun (even for mothers), and the guests are able to reach the girls by music, drama, speaking, and other activites they do. It is a really wonderful, fun and educational program for girls to attend. Missy and her friend are wanting to get a group of girls (not only from our church but all over San Angelo) to go next year. She will be getting more information about it later, one thing we do know is that it is going to be in September and in Dallas. If you or know of anyone interested in going next year let Missy know. (They had a ball coming home, you should have seen what all those two girls were doing and getting her daddy (Richard) to do. There was not a quite second all the way home, but it was fun. They were giving her daddy a hard time and were (them plus Richard) having fun with all they were getting him to do and recording him when he was doing it. (I had to remind him several times that he was driving and needed to remember that). We all had a good time and are looking forward to going next year along with others to go also. Missy will be getting more information about it and will be passing it along.

It's doggie day!!!
Before that I was holding Jewell and a lady saw us and fell in love with Jewell. (She was there to see her mother). When she saw Jewell she wanted to take pictures of her and then when she saw Honey pulling the little cart with Jewell laying in it that really did catch some attention.
When they brought her mother out of her room, she fell in love with Jewell. The first thing her daughter did was take a picture of Jewell and her mother. Her mother really enjoyed Honey and Jewell coming to see her (Missy and I are part of the SPCA, Society of Prevention of Cruelity to Animals and take Honey and Jewell to different nursing homes on Saturday). When it was time to leave the daughter walked out the door with me and was talking so fast it was hard to get a word in. Honey and Jewell are really tierd when they get home from the nursing home trip. All they want to do the rest of the day is sleep. The excitement the tenants show when they see the dogs really does make a person feel good. When hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans a little man was sent up to one of the nursing homes. That Saturday we went to two different nursing homes (one was right behind the other-Missy was at one and I was at the other) . Missy walked over to the place where I was and told me that there was a man from hurricane Katrina here and wanted to see Jewell. Missy and I became special friends with him and would take Jewell and Honey to see him, and one night we spoke with the nurses at the nursing home about taking him out to eat. That there was something really special, we all really had fun and a nice night. Right before he went home we dressed Jewell and Honey up and went up to see him (he didn't know we were coming). The nurses got him up out of bed and brought him into the front living area and when he saw us come in the door he got so excited and had a smile on his face and was so excited one will never forget. We got some pictures of him with Jewell and Honey all dressed up (Honey had one of Missy' s Easter dresses on and Jewell was dressed up in her wedding dress). We found out later that he was a pastor of one of the churches there in New Orleans. When we found that out (Honey was dressed up in Missy's Easter dress and Jewell was in her wedding dress), we told Richard that he married Jewell and Honey was her maid of honor. It makes a person feel so good to see all the smiles and excitement the tenants have when they see the dogs.
Missy and I both really enjoy taking Honey and Jewell to the nursing homes and seeing the smiles and excitement the residents show is so rewarding.

Dawg
She has really got her daddy good. She gave him the nickname of "Dawg" (like the animal dog) and he started calling her that also. When we went to Florida I told them that they need to call each other by their name (daddy and Missy). But that didn't happen. We sure got some strange looks when people heard them call each other "Dawg". Now want to hear something really funny? I called him on his cell one day and got his voice mail and when his voice mail came that was a BIG laugh (all he said was "Dawg", that caught me off guard for a second).
Next week is going to be super busy. Richard told me at lunch today that he is going to be gone-Monday, Tuesday and will be back sometime Wednesday. He is going to be going to something related to his job. Then Friday we (Missy, Richard, and and one of her friends) will be going to the Revolve Tour.
Well, guess I better go and get ready for Richard to come and pick me up so we can get out to Lake View (Richard has to find Missy, get the film and then get to where he is going to be taking pictures at).

This past week I received tickets to the circus, from my boss who is a Shriner, along with some extra ones. We went to the Saturday night performance and enjoyed getting out of the house for awhile. Then next week is going to be really crazy. Friday, Missy, her friend, Richard and I will be leaving Friday around noon to go to the Revolve Tour. We went for the first time last year and was it ever good. Missy has talked about it and all the people that were there and about going again next year (that is this year). I got a phone call/email from one of the group consultants telling me that she had free tickets for Missy and I. The Revolve Tour is part of the "Women of Faith" but it's focus is for the younger girls. I remember last year the place they had it was packed from the floor all the way up to the last row of seats at the top. It is a wonderful thing for girls to attend (as well as others).
Well, guess I better get back to work so I can get ready to go home.

THANK YOU JOHN & LORI FOR EVERYTHING
When she wasn't out of town she was always wanting to go to the church and help John. This made Richard and I really proud of her. She would come home and told us what she did. She seemed like she was a big help to John. Now that school has started she really misses being up at the church all day, but wants to go up there after she gets out of school. Thank you John for all you have done for Missy.
Richard and I were teasing her one day that she had a new home. If she wasn't at the church she would be with Lori doing something or just hanging out playing with the kids. Thank you Lori for all you have done for Missy.
God had his hand and angels over that little boy from day one. Doctors say that he is doing fine and shows no sign of being premature. All the prayers that were said for him has really been answered. Ricky and April both are doing good and have gone back to school and really are good parents.
Richard called me about 6:45 this morning to wake me up so I could get Missy up and ready for school. When we were ready to go we got into the Endeavor and I tried opening up the garage door and everytime I would press the button it would make this wierd noise and go back down. Come to find out that Richard had gotten home early (he has been taking me to work daily) and was trying to open the garage door at the same time. That can make you wonder what is going on. I got back home and he was there with a Dr. Pepper sitting on the bar for me to take to work and drink on this morning. He is really a wonderful person and a gift from God.

Her daddy, Richard, and I are really proud of her and the other youth that went to Fine Arts Nationals. Since they got back I have had numerous people asking me for a copy of her story. One of the men I work with came up to me and told me that he saw Missy's name in the paper and started laughing and told me to tell her that he wanted her autograph. When I gave him a copy of her story (but she didn't sign it) and the newspaper article he walked off reading it (he was really happy to get a copy of it.) and then several other people have come into the office and asked for a copy of it. There is a lady that rents from us that I spoke with the Saturday and she was asking about Missy and when I told her that she had just gotten home from the trip and she asked if she could have a copy of her story.
